Metaxas’ take on the Parable of the Talents helped me rethink my own understanding of the parable. His book is worth reading in its entirety. It’s a call to the church to see the parallels between the largely silent German church during the rise of Hitler and the Nazis and the largely silent church in the midst of our own critical cultural issues today.
